Dear alumni friends,
It is my great honour and privilege to serve as Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management and a great pleasure to connect with you. While I am new to the role of dean – I was appointed this summer – I’m no stranger to the Ted Rogers School or to some of our more recent alumni.
I began my time here in 2010. I was the founding chair of our real estate management department and also served as Associate Dean, Faculty and Academic. More recently, I was appointed Toronto Metropolitan University’s Interim Vice Provost, Academic.
Prior to joining TMU, I had academic roles at Schulich School of Business at York University and at Florida State University. Before my academic career, I spent a decade in mortgage investment with the Standard Life Assurance Company.
As dean, my focus is on the student experience. Each student is important, and deserves to feel a strong sense of belonging within our school and the broader business world. We are committed to delivering a world-class education, in both content and delivery, to prepare our students for success.
As students, your energy, imagination and vision for innovation inspired us. As alumni, your remarkable achievements reflect the transformative power of our school. Your successes make us proud, and we are grateful to have been part of your journey. Alumni like you play a pivotal role in offering top-tier experiential education to the next generation of students. I invite you to remain actively engaged as alumni: attend our events, mentor our students, consider hiring them through our co-op program, and support our students through bursaries, scholarships, and other giving opportunities.
Become a part of their journeys, just as you have been a part of ours. Let’s uphold the work we accomplish together and keep the conversation going. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
