Alumni spotlight
Empowering the Next Generation
The Business Career Hub (BCH) hosted alumni and students in a series of professional development events, such as the Ted Rogers Co-op Connect Kick-Off, Mock Interview Week and the Prep Program Networking Extravaganza.
The Co-op Connect program helps students develop industry connections and provides practical experience in a professional setting. Joshua Go (Human Resources ’19), Co-op Coordinator at the Ted Rogers School, emphasizes the importance of alumni involvement in these initiatives. "Co-op Connect allows alumni to strengthen their leadership and develop new skills like conducting interviews,” he explains. “Students also benefit from a safe, supportive learning environment where they can build confidence and become career-ready.”
BCH also hosted a Mock Interview Week, where co-op students practiced for upcoming job interviews with the guidance of alumni interviewers who have faced similar career milestones.
Alumni also gave back through the BCH Prep Programs – designed to equip students with industry-specific skills and practical experience to help prepare for the job market. Graduates shared their expertise, mentored students and facilitated professional connections – shaping the career paths of future graduates.
